The General Postulator’s Office

The General Postulator and his assistant in the Curia handle the Causes of Canonization with the Holy See. They are appointed by the General Minister and approved by the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints. The Statutes of the General Curia describe their responsibilities. The causes that are pursued are chosen with the consent of the Minister General from among those that have special interest for the Church or the Order and are capable of carrying a meaningful message into the modern world.
