The Holy Father appointed Br. Éric Bidot OFMCap, former Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Province of France, as Bishop of Tulle (France).
Br. Éric Bidot was born on May 15, 1971, in Paris. After secondary studies in Versailles, he obtained a degree in Public Law and completed Philosophical-Theological studies at Centre Sèvres in Paris.
He made perpetual profession in the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin in 2005 and was ordained a priest on June 29, 2007.
He has held the following positions: Pastoral Collaborator in St. Luke Parish in Clermont-Ferrand (2007-2008); Community Superior in Clermont-Ferrand (2009-2014); Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Province in France (2015-2024); and President of the Conference of Capuchin Provincial Ministers of Northern Europe (2019-2023).
The Order sends its best wishes and prayers to Br. Éric, that his ministry to the particular Church of Banjarmasin will bear good and copious fruit.
