In recent months, there have been several changes in the friars assigned to houses under the jurisdiction of the General Minister.
Rome – Fraternity of San Fedele, Via Cairoli, 43.
In January 2026, preparations began at the house on Via Cairoli in order to carry out major renovations, which will continue until the early months of 2027. To this end, the friars of this community—all members of the Province of St. Francis, Northwest Italy—have been transferred elsewhere: Br. Paolino Rossi to the Collegio San Lorenzo da Brinsidi in Rome, Br. Vincenzo Mancusi to the Garbatella fraternity in Rome, Br. Carlo Poloni to the Frascati fraternity, and Br. Ivan Milazzo to the Province.
Rome – General Curia
In May 2026, Br. Antoine Haddad (Custody of the Near East, Lebanon), who had been at the General Curia since January 2017 and had served as Secretary for the French Language and Assistant to the Postulator General, was transferred to the fraternity of Loreto, which reports directly to the General Minister. There, he serves as a confessor at the Shrine.
At the end of June 2026, Br. Fergnan da Conceição da Silva (Province of Maranhão-Pará-Amapá, Brazil), who had been at the General Curia since March 2022, working as Secretary for both the Portuguese and Spanish Language as well as a collaborator in the Office of Economic Solidarity, returned to his Province.
In January 2026, Br. Diogo Oliveira Escudero (Province of Pennsylvania, USA) arrived at the General Curia to assume the position of Assistant to the General Postulator, succeeding Br. Antoine, and the office of Secretary for the Portuguese Language, succeeding Br. Fergnan.
In April 2026, Br. Matteo Siro (Province of Central Italy) arrived at the General Curia to assume the role of Collaborator in the Office of Solidarity and Economy, succeeding Br. Fergnan, and as Legal Representative, succeeding Br. Alfredo Rava (Province of Emilia-Romagna, Italy). The latter will remain at the General Curia and continue as Vice-Procurator General.
Rome – International College of St. Lawrence of Brindisi
In June 2026, Br. Jean-Louis Sohet (Province of France), a member of the Collegio’s fraternity who had been serving as a professor at the Franciscan Institute of Spirituality at the Pontifical Antonianum University, returned to his province.
In July 2026, Br. Radosław Paweł Pasztaleniec (Province of Kraków, Poland), a member of the Collegio’s fraternity since 2022, who has served as a professor and secretary at the Franciscan Institute of Spirituality of the Pontifical Antonianum University, will leave the Collegio to join the Fraternity of St. Lawrence of Brindisi in Lourdes.
In September 2026, Br. Bona Marcel Rodrigues (Karnataka Province, India) will leave the Collegio after 16 years of service as Vice Rector and Prefect of Studies and return to his Province.
In December 2025, Br. Denis Gabriel Veigas (Province of Karnataka, India) arrived at the Collegio, to take on the role of Spiritual Director for the students. He also collaborates with the Office of Lexicon Capuccinum.
In April 2026, Br. Selestinus Manalu (Medan Province, Indonesia) arrived at the Collegio to assume the office of Vice Rector and Prefect of Studies, succeeding Br. Bona Marcel.
Frascati
The Frascati community is also preparing for some changes that will take place over the summer. We will provide a detailed list in due course.
