Academic Visit in India (13 to 23rd June 2016)
- Pubblicato in Segretariato generale della formazione
With the mandate from Br. Mauro Jӧhri our General Minister, we brothers (Christi Vattakuzhy, Jaime Rey, Albert Desouza, John Paul & Charles Alphonse), made academic visitation to two of our Major Study houses in India, from 13th to 23rd June 2016. It was a sort of pilot study to further complete visiting rest of the major study houses by next year that is 2017.
The Study houses visited are Deena Seva Ashram (means 'Serving the Poor') our Institute of Theology, Bangalore & Kripalaya, Institute of Philosophy, Mysore in India.
Objectives
Through this visit we will have the possibility to listen to the Staff and Student Friars, in formation houses.
Discuss the Methodology of the Formation Programme and help to update it with the Bologna process, which would invite us to implement the directives given by Vatican to all the Major Study Houses of the Church.
To study about the Franciscan Approach they have adopted in formation. Get to know about the methodology they follow and encourage them to form a good team, where they could think, take decision and discern together.
We will have the possibility to meet both staff and the students personally and in groups. It is not for evaluating and criticizing but for helping mutually. It is also to understand how formative process is improving in our context-We will put together all the insights received from these visits and present them to Br. General Minister & his Council for their further animation.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Rectors, Dean of Studies, other staff and student friars of both the study houses.
Bravo Brothers! We admire your dedication and witnessing life. Our student friars are great gifts from God to us.
