El programa preve\u00eda la elecci\u00f3n del Vicario general de la Orden.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roma, 7 de setiembre. En la primera parte de la ma\u00f1ana de hoy se concluy\u00f3 el momento electivo del Cap\u00edtulo. El programa preve\u00eda la elecci\u00f3n del Vicario general de la Orden. Las Constituciones indican que el Vicario es \u201cel primer colaborador del Ministro general\u201d y por lo tanto, en caso de ausencia, debe hacer las veces de Ministro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los capitulares, convertidos ya en expertos del procedimiento electoral, en el segundo escrutinio eligieron como nuevo Vicario general a fr. Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Torres Rivera, hasta ahora Custodio de Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Algunos datos biogr\u00e1ficos sobre \u00e9l: Naci\u00f3 en Nueva Jersey (EEUU) en 1972; emiti\u00f3 la profesi\u00f3n perpetua en el a\u00f1o 2000 y fue ordenado presb\u00edtero en el 2001. En relaci\u00f3n a su formaci\u00f3n cultural, ha obtenido el bachillerato en educaci\u00f3n secundaria con especializaci\u00f3n en qu\u00edmica. Sucesivamente ha obtenido la laurea en Teolog\u00eda y la licenciatura en Derecho can\u00f3nico en la Gregoriana de Roma. En la Orden ha desenvuelto diversos cargos: guardi\u00e1n en varios lugares, incluso de la Curia general, procurador y ec\u00f3nomo de la Custodia, ec\u00f3nomo de la Casa de Jerusal\u00e9n, y finalmente Custodio de la Custodia de Puerto Rico.
