CECOC Meeting in Zakroczym

Zakroczym (Poland). The major superiors of the Conferentia Europae Centro-Orientalis Capuccinorum (CECOC) met from this past May 20 to 24. The Conference is made up of the circumscriptions of Central and Eastern Europe.

This time the meeting was held in Zakroczym, Poland, in the “Honoratianum” spiritual center of the Capuchin friars of the Province of Warsaw. Fifteen friars, provincial ministers, custodes, and provincial delegates, participated from the various CECOC circumscriptions, as well as the General Councilor of the Order, Br. Piotr Stasiński.

Beyond the moments given to discussion and talks, the friars had time for meditation and prayer, as well as just being together. Given their closeness, the friars also visited Niepokalanów, the village surrounding a monastery founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe, and Warsaw.

The next CECOC meeting will be held in Pezinok, Slovakia. CECOC includes the following countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary, and Russia.
