Capuchin Digital Archive (CDA)
- Published in Other news items
On the portal www.ofmcap.org, all the fundamental documents of our Order are published according to professional standards in the four most common electronic formats: PDF, Word, EPUB, and MOBI. This project means to meet the continuing evolution of the use of electronic devices which, beyond being tools for communication, are also used for reading. For this purpose we have posted more than 1,600 files, giving our readers direct access to files prepared in a professional way in specific electronic formats. The files contain functioning tables of contents as well as sections for easy navigation within the documents, thereby simplifying reading.
The files available on the website www.ofmcap.org in the document section are divided into: Constitutions, Plenary Councils, and letters of the General Ministers. The presentation is simple for easier download. We are also aware, however, that some wish to use the documents for research and therefore wish to download all the documents and have them all on a computer. For this purpose we would like to present an initiative called the Capuchin Digital Archive (CDA). This is a dedicated and publicly accessible location on Google Drive where it is possible to browse the folders with just a click and without having to do any registration. There you will find the same 1,600 files in the different electronic formats.
The Archive will be updated as new official material of the Order appears: new letters of the general ministers, the Ratio formationis Ordinis, etc. Our hope is that this further effort at digital documentation assists in reading and study and contributes to a greater knowledge and understanding of the documents of the Order.
Happy reading!
