LXXXV General Chapter Logo Competition

Featured LXXXV General Chapter Logo Competition

The logo must contain the Latin words "CAPITULUM GENERALE LXXXV OFMCAP". Furthermore, the logo must include the following inscription, also in Latin: “DISCITE A ME… ET INVENIETIS” (Cf. Mt 11: 29). The Commission chose this phrase with reference to the topic of the Ratio formationis, which will be one of the main themes of the Chapter. Everyone, however, in developing his work, may make this theme present in the way that seems to him best, trusting his own inspiration and allowing the Franciscan message to shine through his art.

The logo must be original: no image or part of any image found on the internet is allowed. It must be in color, but with a graphic design that will show up sufficiently clearly also in black and white.  A restricted color range would also be appropriate, so that it can be used against light or dark backgrounds. It is important that the design be work well and be clear not only in its original dimensions but also when the reproduction is reduced in scale.
