Dreams sacrificed…!

On 10 September 2015, Fra. Mauro our General Minister has celebrated his 50th year anniversary of his religious profession. In his sermon he thanked the Lord for the gift of fraternal life and recalled the following words of Pope Francis: What do the people think about me? They call me Holy Father, but I am a sinner who needs the divine mercy."

He also mentioned about the friars who have sacrificed their dreams to help the Capuchin fraternity: " In these 50 years there friars who helped me with their sacrifices, with their presence and also with their silence. These friars brought grace and meaning to my life. I have grown with the help of the fraternity and without these friars it would not have been possible to journey through the road of my life that I have treaded on."

Let us thank the Lord for Fra. Mauro, a friar who fell in love with the beauty of fraternal life, a person who inspires us with his heart, his wisdom, simplicity and generosity. We invite you to read his recent letters on our identity and belonging. It will help us understand his vision for our Order and above all to arrive at out Capuchin way of living.
