The General Communications Office was established in 1997. Our
two main publications long pre-date the establishment of the office.
The office is responsible for the main publications of the Order,
i.e., Analecta Ordinis Fratrum Minorum
Capuccinorum and BICI. Our publications
are intended for the internal use of the Capuchin Order.
In addition to these two main publications, the General Communications
Office has also published other occasional works such as the Jubilee
Year commemorative booklet of Capuchin bishops, the Domus Religiosæ,
etc.

Articles and Photographs |
|
| |
Capuchin brothers and sisters throughout the
world are invited to send news items (and accompanying photographs)
for publication in BICI or Analecta. Articles must be relatively
short in length (especially for BICI) and must be of general interest
to the Order. Typical types of articles (with photographs) that
would be of general interest to the Order include, but are not limited
to: provincial chapters, major anniversaries of the founding of
the province or of a specific fraternity, investitures and professions,
visits by the general minister and definitors, civic or religious
recognition [awards] of individual Capuchin brothers or Capuchin
sisters, new initiatives by the fraternity or by individuals, etc.
Photographs are always gratefully received. Photographs
intended for BICI may be digital photos and may be sent via e-mail
to bici@ofmcap.org. Photographs intended for Analecta must be regular
prints (black and white or color).

Authors |
|
| |
| It has been a long-standing expectation in the Order that friars
who write scholarly works (articles, books, CDs, cassettes, posters,
etc.) send a copy of their work to Analecta for publication in the
bibliography section.
